The unit and its Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility are under development and will serve as a manufacturing facility for clinical trial medicines in advanced therapies (ATMP). The unit will also play an important role in bridging the gap between basic research and clinical trials. The consultant will play a central role in implementing Vätternvatten's long-term investment to secure drinking water supply to the municipalities of Örebro, Kumla, Hallsberg, and Lekeberg. The assignment is estimated to start on March 1, 2027 and initially encompasses full-time work with the possibility of extension until project completion. About the Company Vätternvatten AB is a municipally-owned company responsible for planning and implementation of a future regional drinking water supply to the municipalities of Örebro, Kumla, Hallsberg, and Lekeberg. The company manages an extensive and long-term infrastructure project with the goal of ensuring a sustainable, secure, and cost-effective water supply for the region's residents. About the Role As Project Manager Rock Tunnel, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the Rock Tunnel subproject, approximately a 36 kilometer long rock tunnel that forms a central part of Vätternvatten's future water supply system. You will work closely with the client organization, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project's objectives are met regarding quality, economy, schedule, and function. Role and Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the client organization and suppliers Lead the completion of detailed design Prepare documentation for procurement of upcoming construction contracts Responsible for managing and monitoring contractor performance Ensure structured handover to the operations organization Identify and ensure that specified facility requirements are met Manage and monitor project finances Establish, manage, and monitor schedules Lead and monitor project risk management Ensure that contractors and design consultants fulfill their obligations according to workplace safety regulations Monitor that identified activities are implemented and followed up Contribute and participate in internal collaboration within the client's organization Core Competency Requirements 1. At least 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure projects that include rock tunnels. 2. At least 5 years of experience as a project manager or project leader in complex infrastructure projects. 3. Completed at least one assignment as project manager or project leader in an infrastructure project that includes rock tunnels. 4. The reference assignment shall have included a project with budgeted construction costs of at least 500 million kronor. 5. The reference assignment shall have lasted at least one year with a consistent engagement of at least 80% of full-time. 6. Strong ability to lead, drive, and coordinate complex project organizations. 7. Ability to communicate and work in Swedish. Value-Added Requirements 1. Documented experience exceeding the mandatory requirements. 2. Excellent ability to establish yourself in the client role and build trust with the organization and stakeholders. 3. Documented successful approaches for managing, coordinating, and implementing complex infrastructure projects. 4. Ability to identify risks, opportunities, and create added value for the client. 5. Experience from assignments with high technical complexity and long implementation timelines.
