JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a waste technician, you have a versatile, practical, and service-oriented role. You are the operation's "eyes and hands" out in the municipality, alternating between fieldwork, practical container management and maintenance with digital registration and supervision. You also have an important overall responsibility for our container storage. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that our logistics, recycling centers, and materials maintain the highest quality. Your main responsibilities: • Storage management, purchasing & logistics: Manage inventory control, purchasing, and orders for new containers, spare parts, and accessories. Ensure correct inventory levels, perform regular inventories, and handle supplier relations. • Container handling, maintenance & cleaning: Assemble, maintain, and repair waste containers (e.g., replacing wheels, lids, and axles) and clean containers as needed. Maintain good organization and structure in the container storage. • Tagging & registration: Equip containers with RFID tags or barcodes and link them to the correct property and address in the Future management system. • Delivery & replacement: Transport new or replacement containers to property owners and operations, and retrieve old or damaged containers. • Operational management & level sensors: Monitor fill levels digitally via level sensors and maintain ongoing contact with contractors to ensure efficient emptying. • Supervision & fieldwork: Conduct inventories of recycling stations, assess maintenance needs regarding land and containers, and ensure signage and decals are in good condition. • Quality at recycling centers: Work practically with procedures for receiving and shipping hazardous waste at the recycling center. • Customer service & improvement work: Answer questions about our collection systems from residents and businesses, and participate in practical improvement work at our collection points. • Digital reporting: Manage orders, report deviations, and register completed tasks directly in the management system. Other tasks beyond those listed above may also occur. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is practically minded, solution-oriented, and service-minded. You thrive with an active job where you balance independent fieldwork in a vehicle with customer and contractor contacts. As you are responsible for inventory levels, orders, and registering containers and addresses in our system, it is crucial that you are thorough, structured, and have good foresight so that logistics flow smoothly and data always matches reality. We see that applicants have a secondary education, preferably in practical/technical fields, or equivalent experience considered equivalent. Furthermore, you have good ability to handle tools, assemble, clean, and perform practical repairs. You also have good digital knowledge and can use technology well to document necessary information. You have good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. A class B driver's license is a requirement for this position. A class C driver's license, previous experience with the Future system or similar systems, and previous experience from the waste industry, warehouse/logistics, container handling, hauling, or work at a recycling center are meriting factors.
