About the Role As a planner, you are responsible for creating the conditions for successful implementation of our electrical network projects. You work close to the operations and are an important link between planning and execution. The role includes, among other things: Engineering and planning of investment, reinvestment, and customer connection projects Development of technical solutions, work materials, and construction documents Creation of material lists and cost estimates Field visits, surveys, and technical investigations Contact with landowners, customers, authorities, and contractors Management of permits and required documentation Coordination with contractors prior to construction Support to project managers during project implementation Updating and quality assurance of installation documentation We work in the NIS system dpPower Requirements We are looking for someone with: Post-secondary education in electrical engineering or equivalent experience Experience from the electrical grid industry, for example as a planner, engineer, project manager, or distribution electrician Knowledge of distribution networks and electrical installations Experience with GIS or documentation systems Good computer skills Driver's license (Category B) Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Merits Knowledge of EBR ESA training Experience with land and permit matters Experience with investment projects in the energy sector Who Are You? Main Planner

Project Planning & Controls Specialist

The opportunity HVDC is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems. In this exciting role, you are the one who has the knowledge of Project Controls and who is responsible for the planning, scheduling, monitoring and controlling processes of our delivery projects. This role is based in Västerås or Ludvika, Sweden How you'll make an impact Contribute to the development of the Project Baseline (scope of work, cost and schedule) and have the supportive role at project launching stage. On an ongoing basis, ensuring accurate, reliable planning foundations Provide the Project Manager, and the Line Managers with project control aspects including Earned Value Management Analysis, reliable and comprehensive information about the project status: schedule, progress, planned, actual, forecast, resources and productivity, trends, and risks. Collaborate with all project team members, investigate project requirements with project team, check that all essential work activities have been identified in sufficient detail to serve as a basis for developing realistic project schedules. Define, jointly with the project team, project work and cost breakdown structure, develop and maintain properly linked, required resource loaded/integrated, baseline and current schedules that provide time phased baseline, actual and forecast data for project. Monitor project progress and regularly analyze project critical paths to ensure all critical path activities and project milestones are progressed to the plan, notify project team of any deviations or scheduling issues, and provide input for optimizing resources. Challenge functional owners on forecast completion dates to ensure dates are realistic Prepare and issue progress reports, program updates and productivity data on a regular basis and as requested by customers and stakeholders. Contribute to Tenders and Project planning activities for HVDC Projects. Carry out necessary preplanning to examine scope of work and services, work breakdown structure, engineering quality and quantities, financial and contractual obligations, and division of responsibility to control and report on planning and scheduling activities. Capability to work with third parties to ensure plans are realistic and achievable; analyze third party contractor progress information. Your background You hold an Engineering degree in a relevant field and have experience working as a Project Planner in an EPC Company or similar Thorough understanding of logical sequencing and interfacing of project execution activities in EPC energy projects Experience in planning and cost control on lump sum projects or equivalent and ability to lead project controls activities in multi-location EPC projects Experience planning activities and monitoring execution schedules and physical progress in all project phases Strong communication skills, ability to highlight key issues and communicate them to management and other stakeholders Ability to drive project teams to control schedule performance Analytical skills for forecasting outcomes Proficiency in English is required for this role Primavera P6 and basic cost-management knowledge expertise is a plus Experience with HVDC projects will be an added advantage. Your Background Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, Risk Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of fire codes, standards, regulations, and fire safety principles, with the ability to apply them in practical engineering environments. Experience with fire modeling, fire simulation tools, or related analytical methods used to assess fire safety and performance requirements. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and explain technical concepts clearly.
