Then the bus driver job is for you. You operate the vehicle in a safe and secure manner with environmental consciousness at the core. You are responsible and can stay calm even in stressful traffic and passenger situations. You must have valid: Class D driver's license Professional Competence Certificate (YKB)* Digital tachograph card according to the Swedish Transport Agency And be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written A Typical Workday You always start and end your workday at the depot in Leksand. Working hours vary depending on the schedule and your shift arrangement. As a hourly employee with us, there are plenty of shifts available. Our buses run in regular traffic, year-round, around the clock. It is a varied job with a lot of personal responsibility while also being social work. Even if you drive the same route, you meet new people every day. You are available to answer questions passengers may have along the way. In addition, you report any traffic disruptions, irregularities, and vehicle malfunctions to traffic control. You are simply the face of public transport, and your primary task is to give our passengers an easy, safe, and pleasant journey! Your Responsibilities and Tasks Your task is to ensure that everyone traveling with us has a safe and pleasant trip, in accordance with procedures and traffic and safety regulations. The routes include school transportation and service traffic. You will sometimes help carry and load baggage or aids, such as wheelchairs. In service traffic, we often transport people with special needs or functional variations. You are responsible for providing extra support and service to passengers using paratransit services, medical transport, or other publicly procured trips. You should therefore be knowledgeable about the applicable regulations for this type of transport. Since you have ultimate responsibility for everyone in the vehicle, you should have a good ability to work independently and take initiative within your role, even under stress. You are the one who keeps traffic control and customers informed about traffic disruptions and other deviations. You report to your direct supervisor. Your duties also include helping to keep the vehicle clean and in good condition, as well as reporting vehicle malfunctions and damage.
