Your responsibilities Social workers in the children and youth field are responsible for handling child welfare cases for ages 0-18 years (sometimes up to 21 years). This work can include receiving and assessing notifications of concern, investigations, and follow-up of interventions. Social workers are led by a senior social worker and a unit manager. We look forward to continuing our transition based on the new Social Services Act, which means becoming a more preventative, accessible, equal, and knowledge-based social service. In your role as a social worker with us, you will have an important part in the transition work and our renewed working methods. Tasks are carried out both independently and in collaboration, both internally and with external partners. In this role there are short decision-making paths where you can always seek support from your manager, team leader, and closest colleagues. As a social worker at IFO Children and Youth, you will work with engaged colleagues, develop, and work with one of Sweden's most important jobs. Since one of our colleagues will be on leave for a period, we are seeking a social worker for a temporary position. There is a possibility that the temporary assignment could become a permanent position. Your profile You are educated as a social worker (socionom). Previous experience with public authority work is a merit. Since the tasks involve continuous documentation, good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL) and the ability to handle digital tools are required. Experience with the Lifecare management system is a merit. A driver's license (category B) is required. To succeed in this position, you need to be a secure and stable person with good self-awareness and the ability to separate the personal from the professional. You also need to be excellent at planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently and meeting deadlines. Since the position involves working with people who may be in difficult social and vulnerable situations, you are expected to show good judgment in your statements, actions, and decisions, as well as be accommodating in your interactions and have good collaboration skills.
