GNR has two care units, one focused on stroke/neurology and one for rehabilitation. There is a shared clinic for neurology and geriatrics where rehabilitation medicine patients are also treated. GNR is well-staffed on the physician side and has 17 specialists as well as 7 resident physicians in internal medicine, neurology and geriatrics, and rehabilitation medicine. To meet the specialist care needs described in the care pathway Chronic Pain - 1177 for healthcare personnel, GNR operates a specialized pain management service at Sundsvall Hospital. The core staffing consists of a team constellation with a pain physician, rehabilitation physician, physiotherapist, psychologist, and a rehabilitation coordinator, also a nurse. We now want to recruit a specialist physician with an interest in pain management, preferably with algology as a subspecialization, to strengthen our newly established pain management service.
