About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Certain Persons with Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. Each assistance arrangement is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a 12-year-old boy living with his parents and siblings in Härnösand. He has a motor disability and intellectual disability. He also has epilepsy. The boy has no verbal speech, so it is of utmost importance that you as an assistant are attentive to his body language and expressions. You will actively read his communication and support his development of activity skills. You will become an important part of a secure family environment where your presence creates stability and adds a golden touch to everyday life. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for you who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client. For this position, you are required to have: good knowledge of Swedish a B driver's license and access to your own car For this position, it is meritorious if you have: experience with similar work or work in a school environment experience working with alternative communication, e.g. TAKK experience working with children/youth experience with epilepsy Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is "hourly employment," which means work as needed. There is an opportunity for a small position if you wish to have a couple of fixed shifts on the schedule each week. Working hours are primarily scheduled for evenings and weekends: 14.30-20.00 on weekdays and 10.00-18.00 on weekends. Fixed hourly rate by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement.
