Do you want to support young people and contribute to improving their living conditions? Since one of our employees will be on study leave, we are now looking for a new team member to work as a field secretary in the Social Administration Center. Here you will be part of a creative team with high expertise and strong commitment, where your ideas and initiatives are valued. Outreach social work aims to create contacts and relationships with young people within the field work's target group. As a field secretary, you actively seek out young people at their own meeting places. This can be in public environments such as the city center, residential areas, and parks where young people gather, but can also be in more organized youth settings such as schools and leisure activities. By regularly being in the environments where young people are, meeting and getting to know them, and showing interest in how they are doing, you build relationships with young people based on respect and trust. Through your presence as a field secretary, you gain knowledge about the area's young people and their living conditions. This provides the opportunity to identify social problems and be available when young people need an adult contact who can meet, support, and connect them to further support from social services or other helping organizations. In this role, you have the opportunity to conduct social change work and work at individual, group, and structural levels. You collaborate with other important actors, networks, and potential resources. The work also includes documentation, evaluation, and knowledge production. Welcome with your application! Qualifications We are looking for someone with a social work degree or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We consider it a requirement that you have previous experience working in outreach with the target group or that you have corresponding relevant experience in the field. We consider it meritorious if you have experience with field work and/or as a field secretary. We would also appreciate if you have further education in youth work. It is important that as a field secretary, you have the ability to listen, converse, and positively reinforce young people's own abilities for change and engagement. You have strong competence in having supportive and motivating conversations, and it is important that you as a person are unpretentious, take initiative, have the ability to reflect, and are curious since contact with young people is based on a voluntary basis. The role places great demands on your ability to collaborate and cooperate both internally and externally. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as good as possible. It is important that you appreciate a flexible working style that allows the work form to be created as you go. You should enjoy working in youth environments and be comfortable in new situations and social situations in general. You are also stable/secure and handle complex situations well. You must also have the ability to translate theoretical aspects into practical work. We value an equal work group and that the work group should best reflect and respond to the target group's needs, so we welcome applicants with various types of backgrounds.
