Job Responsibilities At Åkereds Skolväg 20, you'll work in a preschool where process-oriented work permeates the activities. The preschool consists of four departments in a newly renovated 1970s building, plus a separate department. The children are grouped by age and you follow the children throughout their time at the preschool. This gives you the opportunity to build close relationships with the children and follow their development over time. As a preschool teacher, you work in close collaboration with other educators to maintain a strong sense of community throughout the facility. You also receive support from a lead preschool teacher who is present in the activities and supports pedagogical development work to maintain high quality in instruction. We work in a process-oriented manner, which means we take advantage of children's curiosity, questions, and ideas and make them central to instruction. Through observation, reflection, and documentation, we follow children's learning processes and develop instruction based on their interests. The process-oriented approach is a natural part of daily work in planning, implementation, and follow-up. As a preschool teacher, you participate weekly in preschool teacher forums with colleagues, where you reflect on instruction and develop pedagogical work together. You become part of an operation with a strong focus on children and colleagues who learn and develop together. You lead the pedagogical work together with colleagues in an engaged team. Together you plan, implement, document, and follow up on education according to the preschool's curriculum.
