Our unit at USÖ consists of a care ward, an orthopedic outpatient clinic, and part of our regional secretariat. The care ward provides beds for our acute and trauma patients with a strong focus on highly specialized spine and pelvic surgery, as well as elective spine, foot, and hand surgery. Currently, the unit has 21 acute beds and 7 elective beds Monday-Friday. To optimize care for ortho-geriatric patients, a geriatrician works on the unit Monday-Friday. Care is rehabilitative in nature with a strong emphasis on collaboration with all professions in the team and other units that contribute to comprehensive care for our patients.
