Our unit at USÖ consists of a care ward, an orthopedic outpatient clinic, and part of our regional secretariat. The care ward provides beds for our acute and trauma patients with a strong focus on highly specialized spine and pelvic surgery, as well as elective spine, foot, and hand surgery. Currently, the unit has 21 acute beds and 7 elective beds Monday-Friday. To optimize care for ortho-geriatric patients, a geriatrician works on the unit Monday-Friday. Care is rehabilitative in nature with a strong emphasis on collaboration with all professions in the team and other units that contribute to comprehensive care for our patients.

In recent years, significant investment has been made in trauma care within Region Örebro County. Within the Orthopedic and Hand Surgery business area, this has resulted in increased expertise in, among other things, spine, neck, and pelvic surgery. Many patients with complex injuries from, for example, accidents are cared for in unit 37 either immediately after the injury or after an intensive care period or care within another specialist area.
Responsibilities
As a registered nurse on our care ward, you are part of an interprofessional team with the goal of providing quality and efficient care for our patients. The primary responsibility is to plan and provide patient care together with the team and the patient.
As a registered nurse, you primarily work with tasks specific to your professional role that cannot be performed by other professions. You will work with orthopedics, hand surgery, and trauma care, which gives you broad experience and expertise as well as exciting and varied work.
Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed registered nurse with experience in somatic care. You have good organizational and planning skills, are positive toward development, and enjoy and are good at collaboration. You should provide safe and professional care to patients, relatives, and colleagues. We value personal suitability highly.
