Golden Friend Wanted in Nacka

Guldtid offers personal companionship and social support to people who want more community and better opportunities to do things that are important or meaningful to them. Our customers may, for example, be elderly people or people living with a disability or the consequences of an illness. We are a complement to public care and health services. We do not provide the same services as, for example, home care. Our companionship workers are called Golden Friends. Each customer is matched with a Golden Friend based on needs, personality, interests, language, and availability. The goal is a safe and long-term relationship. For this assignment, we are looking for a warm, calm, and attentive person who can create a sense of security and community. You need to be comfortable with the fact that conversation may be limited. Community therefore largely involves presence and experiencing the moment together. Location: Nacka Scope: Two hours per week initially, but may expand to 2 visits per week Time: Flexible day 13–15 Start: As soon as possible Assignment duration: Long-term Special requirements for the assignment You have experience meeting people with dementia. You can create a sense of security and community even when conversation is limited. You are warm, calm, patient, and attentive. You can adjust the meeting to the customer's condition on the day. You are comfortable accompanying a person who uses a wheelchair. You can work regularly on Mondays from 13–15. Meritorious for the assignment Nurse assistant training or other relevant education. Experience working with elderly people. Experience working in care and residential facilities. Interest in music and reading aloud. About work as a Golden Friend As a Golden Friend, you meet the same customer regularly on a fixed day and time. The content of the meetings is adapted to the customer's wishes, needs, and circumstances. Customers have different needs. For example: an elderly person who wants conversation, company, and someone to share their interests with, a person who needs company to get out of their care and residential facility, a person who, after illness or due to a functional limitation, needs support to meet friends and participate in activities and community life, a person with dementia who needs calm, security, and social presence. Meetings may include: conversation and social community, walks and outings, café and restaurant visits, reading aloud, music, games, or other interests, support in maintaining contact with friends and family, company during errands and activities, community, communication, and presence beyond words, for example through music or reading aloud. The work requires that you can adapt to the customer's condition on the day and let the customer's needs guide the meeting. We are looking for you if you enjoy meeting people, have great empathy, and can create security through calm, presence, and respect. You are comfortable even when the meeting is not based on regular conversation, but rather involves being present and creating a safe and meaningful moment. You can work independently and take responsibility for ensuring that meetings are conducted safely. General requirements You have the capacity and desire to meet the same customer over an extended period. You can regularly set aside the same day and time. You are secure, attentive, reliable, and responsible. You respect the customer's self-determination and integrity. You speak and understand Swedish well. General merits Experience working with elderly people. Experience with dementia or mental health issues. Experience working with people with functional variation. Nurse assistant training or other relevant education. Scope of work Once you have completed the recruitment process and been approved, you become part of Guldtid's Golden Friends database. You can then be matched with one or more customers. The number of working hours depends on the customers' needs and which assignments you are matched with. Guldtid therefore cannot guarantee a certain level of employment or a certain number of hours. The work is best suited as supplementary work or part-time work. It can advantageously be combined with, for example, studies, other part-time work, retirement, or other flexible employment. Once you are matched with a customer, you need to have the capacity and intention to meet the customer regularly over an extended period. The requirement for long-term commitment is important for the customer's security and continuity. This does not mean that Guldtid guarantees an assignment for a certain period of time. There may be an opportunity to be matched with additional customers later if your availability and the customers' needs align. Application You apply via Work with us on Guldtid's website: https://guldtid.se/se/sv/jobba-med-oss When you apply, you will be asked to fill in a form called Inställningar. At the end of the form is the field Ytterligare information. There you write Nacka Annons-ID: XXXXXX, so we know which assignment your application concerns. Do not delay your application.
