Styleist Teacher at Drottning Blanka Gymnasieskola in Nacka
Drottning Blanka Gymnasieskola in Nacka was founded in 2020 and offers vocational and higher education preparatory programs. The school has approximately 800 students and 60 employees. We are now seeking a stylist teacher for our operations.
Your Role
We offer a position at approximately 60% for teaching in stylist and vocational subjects (e.g., makeup, hair styling, style and trends, and nails). You will teach our students in vocational subjects, serve as a mentor, and have responsibility for apprenticeship placements (APL) in your position. The position is parental leave coverage for at least one year.
The role also includes a mentoring responsibility. As a mentor, you oversee the student's complete school and study situation and are the main contact person for the student and guardians at the school. You meet with students weekly during mentor time and also conduct development conversations.
As a stylist teacher at Drottning Blanka, you will be part of a team with several stylist and hairdressing teachers to develop both the instruction and the program.
Your Profile
First and foremost, we are looking for someone who is trained as a vocational teacher, or alternatively has extensive experience in the stylist and beauty industry (e.g., as a makeup artist, stylist, or hairstylist). Since we are seeking a stylist teacher who also has qualifications to teach a nail course, we can envision this potentially becoming two different positions during one school year.
We are looking for you with great personal engagement in learning and who is curious about our students' development.
As a teacher, you are attentive and have an easy time building relationships with our students. You are also organized, engaged, and solution-oriented. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and who understands the importance of being a good role model for our students.
