About the assignment As facilities manager, you will have overall responsibility for Folkuniversitetet Region Väst's property and facility management work. The assignment covers operations in Värmland, Västra Götaland, and Norra Halland. This naturally means that our facilities should be safe, well-functioning, sustainable, and cost-effective. But the assignment is also about development. How do we use our facilities in the best possible way? How can they support new ways of working and learning? How do we create attractive physical meeting places while the organization's needs are changing? You will therefore move between long-term strategic issues and things that need to be solved here and now. You work closely with our operations and managers, but also with property owners, suppliers, and other external parties. We believe in leading together. Responsibilities Identify and characterize bacterial enzymes that metabolize phenylalanine and investigate how their structure affects enzyme activity and substrate specificity. The successful candidate will clone and express genes for selected enzymes and determine their enzyme kinetics and biochemical properties. Job Responsibilities Your main responsibility will be to lead the Citybuss Backastråket project, Gåsagången, and the reconstruction of the northern part of Litteraturgatan, which is currently in the detailed design phase and is planned for construction start in autumn 2027. You will also work on other projects within Norra Älvstranden. In this role, you work closely with other project team members and have significant responsibility for leading and coordinating the extensive consultant organization that participates in design and upcoming implementation. Be responsible for project planning, follow-up, and reporting. Participate in and be responsible for procurements of consultants and contractors as well as development of procurement strategies. Prepare decision-making materials and project materials for internal and external decisions. Coordinate the project's many stakeholders and create good cooperation between consultants, contractors, authorities, and other interested parties. Review documents and participate in inspections. An important part of the assignment is to create continuity between the project's different phases and ensure that knowledge and intentions are carried forward from design to implementation. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: At least a higher engineering degree with a focus on infrastructure or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. At least seven years of experience working on infrastructure projects. At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, for example as a project manager, project leader, site manager, or site supervisor. Experience leading and coordinating consultants, contractors, or other project stakeholders. Good knowledge of ABK, AB, ABT, and AMA. Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. It is meritorious if you have: Experience from the construction phase in infrastructure projects. Experience from municipal operations or client organization. Experience with Antura and XLPM.
