We are seeking a planning engineer with a focus on detailed development plans. We are looking for someone who wants to work independently and take ownership while maintaining close and informal collaboration with your colleagues. Together, you will be part of a larger department where many areas of expertise work together. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a planning engineer for our Infrastructure and Building Department. The department has just over 100 employees. Your closest colleague is our planning manager for community planning. In the department, you will work most closely with the Engineering Unit, but also with the Business Unit. As a planning engineer, you will work with plans and other tasks within physical planning. You will be an important part of our small planning team, which works on projects involving both detailed and comprehensive planning. Your main task will be to create plan maps, plan descriptions, and illustrations. The role includes managing planning projects from concept to final plan. Your work will be based on collaboration with other professional groups, as well as communicating with residents, politicians, and authorities. Collaboration is central to us, and we work daily to help each other succeed in our shared mission. We use MyCartaplan, MyCarta as our mapping system, and NOVA as our case management system.
