Do you want to be part of our development work with team-based and everyday rehabilitation approaches in focus?
Bergs Municipality is investing in municipal rehabilitation and is therefore looking for a driven and committed occupational therapist for our team. We are looking for someone who is motivated by varied work, is development and solution-focused, and wants to work to ensure that every individual is given the opportunity for as active, independent and participatory a life as possible.
Job Duties
With the investment in municipal rehabilitation, the operation is being expanded with an additional occupational therapist. As an occupational therapist in municipal rehabilitation, you will be part of a team around the individual and work according to our routines and processes. The work group currently consists of two occupational therapists, three physiotherapists, a rehabilitation assistant and a medical equipment storage manager with focus on the operation. With the expansion, the work group will consist of three occupational therapists and three physiotherapists. With us, you work in a team-based approach together with a physiotherapist in a geographical area. The municipality is divided into three areas – North, Middle and South – where you and the physiotherapist are responsible for one area.
Our patients are individuals who have home care in their own homes, LSS (support and service for persons with certain functional impairments), personal assistance, short-term accommodation and special accommodation. A large part of the work involves conducting individual activity assessments, designing and implementing rehabilitation measures and prescribing medical technical aids. The work also includes guidance and instruction for the individual, relatives and students, as well as training personnel in everyday rehabilitation and medical equipment handling.
In addition to working with a physiotherapist, you work with other professions such as nurses, district nurses, social welfare officers and unit managers. There are vehicles available that belong to municipal rehabilitation in the different areas which facilitate daily work.
Qualifications
For this position, you must be a licensed occupational therapist. Experience of work in municipal rehabilitation services is desirable. Given the many contacts that the assignment involves, as well as our documentation requirements, your knowledge of the Swedish language needs to be very good (both spoken and written). A driver's license for a passenger car (category B) is required.
Bergs Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality and we therefore consider it desirable if you have knowledge of South Sámi language and culture.
Personal Qualities
Since the work involves contact with people in different life situations, it is important that you have a positive approach and a constructive mindset. You also need to be flexible and have good planning and cooperation skills. Furthermore, you enjoy working in a salutogenic way and are good at seeing possibilities and solutions in your daily work. The ability to work both independently and in a team is also necessary.
