As a summer substitute in elderly care in Berg Municipality, you will be an important piece of the puzzle in supporting and serving our elderly citizens. The role of substitute is very important so that our operations run 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Together with your colleagues, you will get meaningful work with high flexibility, and there is the possibility to combine work at nursing homes with home care or local services. We offer a summer bonus for those who work at least 75% for at least 8 weeks. Job Duties As an hourly substitute in elderly care in Berg, you will be employed at the respective unit. The work as an hourly substitute includes nursing care and social care based on a salutogenic approach. This means you help people living in our residential facilities or in their own homes. For example: dressing, preparing meals, serving, hygiene, and cleaning. Tasks delegated by licensed healthcare personnel may also be relevant, such as administering medication. Collaboration is a very important part of your work, since you together with many other colleagues share responsibility for the services that each person has been granted. Qualifications and Personal Qualities The need for substitutes exists at several of our units, and we therefore welcome you regardless of whether you have previous training or experience in care and health services. If you are a nurse assistant or have previous experience working as a care assistant, we see that as positive but not necessary! What is most important to us is you as a person, especially that you are efficient and professional in your approach, and that you are good at communicating and enjoy collaborating. To be eligible as a substitute in care and health services, you must be at least 18 years old and be able to express yourself and understand Swedish well both verbally and in writing. The ability to work some evenings and weekends is a requirement. We consider it meritorious if you have training and/or previous experience in care and health services for the elderly. Berg Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of South Sámi language and culture. Recruitment Process We work with an electronic substitute recruitment system, Time Pool, which means you must have internet access for us to be able to offer you work. You are responsible for entering the times you can work and for responding to requests as soon as possible. Being a substitute can mean that the need for work can change quickly. We will review your application and get back to you as soon as possible. If we assess that your application is interesting, you will be contacted by us to book a time for an interview. The interview may be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams. Otherwise, feedback will be provided via email. We Offer Varied and flexible work with either hourly or monthly employment where you get to make a difference for others - every day! If you are employed on a monthly basis and have worked at least 75% for at least 8 weeks during the holiday period, you will also receive a summer bonus of 10,000 kr (before tax) provided these criteria are met. The work is available both day and night shifts, and you can work either day and evening shifts or night shifts. Selection may take place continuously during the advertising period, so don't wait too long to send your application. Berg Municipality applies HÖK/AB (general terms) to this position. We apply individual salary setting. For this position, the current starting salary range is 23,638 – 30,590 kr per month, depending on your previous experience and qualifications.
