Nurse, Psychiatric Inpatient Care, Ward S-81

Curious about psychiatry? Would you like to be part of a flexible and patient-centered operation? The Psychiatric Clinic offers rewarding and exciting clinical work, breadth and depth of expertise, and many different development opportunities for all professional groups. The Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping is a university clinic with many different operations. The clinic consists of outpatient and inpatient care, a detoxification unit, and an acute unit. In addition, we have mobile services: the mobile outpatient team and prehospital acute psychiatric mobility (psychiatric ambulance). You will find our operations in the newly built Tinnerbäckshuset on the hospital grounds. We are now seeking a nurse for our inpatient ward S-81, with a focus on affective disorders, planned and acute eating disorder care, planned admissions, and SI - Voluntary Admission. Care times on our ward vary, making the work consist of everything from acute care to planned admissions. Patients primarily have psychiatric issues, but somatic comorbidities are common, which means that medical-technical procedures are part of daily work. Job Description As a nurse, you have a central and leadership role on the ward, where you are responsible for daily tasks and for leading nursing care. In addition to primary tasks such as medication management, participation in rounds, reporting, and social planning in collaboration with external partners, much of the work focuses on supporting and working closely with patients in their individual nursing care needs. The work is creative; we work closely with patients and base our approach on their resources and skills. For the past couple of years, we have been working with a recovery-oriented approach, and we see how care has evolved from a more traditional approach to being driven by increasingly flexible and patient-centered care where the patient's experience and needs are always our starting point. This in turn makes daily work more meaningful and developmental. With us, you become part of an interdisciplinary and highly engaged team where you as a nurse work closely with doctors, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists. We value a good work environment with a focus on respect, security, and community. We continuously work to create a safe and supportive work environment where communication is the focus. Development - Our nurses want to develop, and the clinic has therefore invested in strengthened nursing expertise. In recent years, we have allowed our nurses to take responsibility and lead the development of nursing care and work to ensure that the latest research is understandable and applicable in our clinical daily work. For both short-term and long-term development, we have several forums for reflection, profession-specific professional meetings, supervision, and also daily feedback at the end of work shifts. As a nurse, there are many opportunities to develop and advance your career within the clinic. As an employee, you are offered both internal and external training. As a nurse, you have the opportunity to receive employer-sponsored continuing education to become a specialist nurse in psychiatry, with an additional salary increase after completing your training. As a new nurse, you are offered personalized orientation and mentorship from an experienced nurse for as long as needed. We offer present leadership and you will have support from your immediate supervisor who is easily accessible on the ward. About You We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in psychiatric care and/or a specialist nurse degree is considered advantageous, but we also encourage you without psychiatric experience to apply. With the right curiosity and a desire to do the best for the patient, you will develop and learn together with us!
