Your Responsibilities As a lead preschool teacher, you will primarily work as a preschool teacher in the operations, with additional time devoted to mentoring, coaching, and supporting colleagues to develop high and equitable quality in education. In your role as a preschool teacher, your responsibilities include: - Hold overall pedagogical responsibility in the preschool. - Plan, teach, document, and evaluate the activities based on the curriculum and other governing documents together with your team. - Promote each child's development and learning based on their interests, experiences, and needs. - Create curiosity and desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments. - Collaborate closely with colleagues and guardians, and when needed, cooperate with external actors regarding the child. Our principals and lead preschool teachers work closely with the operations to create good equity across preschools. About You It is a requirement that you hold a preschool teacher certification. As a lead preschool teacher, you have several years of well-recommended experience in the preschool teacher role. You must have at least four years of experience teaching in a curriculum-governed preschool. You have a strong interest in developing teaching. It is meritorious if you have experience as a team leader, lead preschool teacher, or other leadership experience. You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is necessary because, according to the curriculum (Lpfö18), you must organize and conduct work so that the child receives support in their language and communication development and ensure that each child can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. In your role as a preschool teacher, you are well aware of the goals and quality standards for preschool operations. You have a good understanding of human differences and approach them in a responsive and flexible manner in teaching and daily preschool life. You build good relationships and collaborate well with contacts in your professional role. You lead work with both children and colleagues through motivation, engagement, and participation.
