Interim Managers in IT

Region Östergötland is seeking three senior interim managers for the Infrastructure and Platform Services division. We are looking for an experienced and confident leader with a background in complex IT operations and experience managing technical specialist teams. The positions cover three different management areas: Platform Technology, IT Infrastructure, and Network Infrastructure. As an interim manager, you will be part of the management team for Infrastructure and Platform Services and will have a central role in creating stability, leading daily operations, and driving development and change. The assignment is full-time, starting September 14, 2026, and initially running through March 14, 2027, with the possibility of an additional six-month extension. The position is based in Linköping with on-site presence required at least three days per week. Your Responsibilities As an interim manager, you will have clear management and leadership responsibility for your area, including personnel, operations, and budget. You will lead technical specialist teams in platform technology, IT infrastructure, or network infrastructure and be responsible for creating structure, clarity, and momentum in operations. Your Profile We are looking for a senior and confident manager with high autonomy and documented experience leading larger teams and complex IT operations. To be suitable for this assignment, you need to have: at least 5 years of management experience with personnel, operations, and budget responsibility experience leading technical specialist teams in IT infrastructure, platforms, or networks experience with change management and business development experience working in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders experience with service or technical deliveries within business-critical IT experience balancing stable operations with development and improvement work experience from organizations with high demands for availability, robustness, information security, and continuity documented leadership skills with a focus on trust, collaboration, and results very good ability to communicate in Swedish in speech and writing, corresponding to at least C1 level The assignment corresponds to competency level 4, senior. This means high generalist competence or very high specialist competence as well as experience with complex assignments. This normally corresponds to 9 to 12 years of experience in the role or relevant field. It is a plus if you have experience from the public sector, politically governed organizations, healthcare, or other socially critical activities. Experience with ITIL, PM3, civil preparedness, crisis management, continuity planning, or previous interim management assignments is also a plus. As a leader, you are confident, clear, and action-oriented. You have the ability to quickly understand an operation, build trust, and get people to work toward common goals. You are accustomed to making decisions and driving work forward while remaining responsive and communicative. What We Offer As a consultant at Eccera, you will have the opportunity to take on a qualified management assignment in a large and socially critical IT operation. You will have a responsible consultant manager who is available throughout the assignment and supports you in dialogue with the client. The assignment is 100 percent and initially runs from September 14, 2026, to March 14, 2027, with an option for an additional six months.
