To continue being at the forefront of healthcare, research, and education, you as a nurse now have the opportunity to apply for training positions with us in areas where there is a shortage of specialist competence. This means you study with your base salary maintained and then receive a permanent position as a specialist in the region. During your study period, you will have an introduction plan and regular contact with the manager at your future workplace. Once your degree has been approved, your training position will convert to a permanent employment as a district nurse with a focus on advanced home care, where you will perform tasks of a more qualified nature where specialist competence is deemed necessary for good and safe patient care. You will also receive a salary increase of 4000 kronor upon completion of your training. Specialization As a district nurse specializing in advanced home care, you are responsible for providing qualified and person-centered care to patients in their home environment. You perform independent assessments, plan and coordinate care services, and carry out advanced nursing care and medical treatments in close collaboration with the patient, relatives, and other professionals. The goal is to create safe, secure, and cohesive home care. About You To be eligible for the training position, you need to: • Be a licensed nurse • Have been admitted to the specialist training program for spring 2027 • Not have previously received study allowance/paid specialist/further training from Region Östergötland We would appreciate it if you have worked several years as a nurse. You do not need to be employed by Region Östergötland when you apply for a training position as a nurse. We are looking for you who works well with other people and takes responsibility for your work tasks. You are quality-conscious and can be flexible when circumstances change. You value your specialist knowledge, are a knowledge resource for others, and adapt your way of sharing knowledge to suit the recipient. Application and Employment To be eligible for a training position, you must also be admitted to a specialist training program. You are responsible for applying to the training program at www.antagning.se between August 14th and September 15th. You apply for the position now and then supplement your application in the recruitment system with your admission proof once you receive it. If the conditions for the training position are met, an initial selection will take place where those deemed most suitable will be called for interviews and references will be checked. Notice of whether the training position is granted or not will be communicated to each applicant by the end of November at the latest. Each introduction is individual and is conducted with your direct manager. Before employment, you will also make a written agreement about what applies during your study period. During study breaks, such as summer, you will work at the unit where your training position is assigned, unless otherwise agreed.
