The Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping is a university clinic with many different operations. The clinic consists of outpatient and inpatient care, a detoxification unit, and an acute care unit. In addition, we have mobile services: the mobile outpatient team and prehospital acute psychiatric mobility (psychiatric ambulance). You'll find our operation in the newly built Tinnerbäckshuset on the hospital grounds.
We are now seeking a registered nurse for our inpatient care department S-81 with a focus on affective disorders, planned and acute eating disorder care, planned admissions, and SI - Voluntary Admission.
The care schedules on our department vary, which means the work consists of everything from acute care to planned admissions. Patients primarily have psychiatric issues, but somatic comorbidity is common, which means medical-technical procedures are part of the daily work.
Job Description
As a registered nurse, you have a central and leadership role on the department, where you are responsible for daily tasks and for leading nursing care. In addition to main responsibilities such as medication management, participation in rounds, reporting, and social planning in collaboration with external stakeholders, a large part of the work focuses on supporting and working closely with patients in their individual care needs.
The work is creative; we work closely with patients and build on their resources and skills. For a couple of years now, we've been working from a recovery-oriented approach, and we see how care has moved from a more traditional approach to being driven by increasingly flexible and person-centered care where the patient's experience and needs are always our starting point. This in turn makes everyday work more meaningful and developmental.
With us, you become part of a multidisciplinary and highly engaged team where you as a nurse work closely with doctors, nursing assistants, social workers, and occupational therapists.

For development both in everyday work and in the long term, we have several forums for reflection, profession-specific professional meetings, mentoring, and also daily debriefing after work shifts.
As a registered nurse, there are many opportunities to develop and build a career within the clinic. As an employee, you are offered both internal and external training. As a registered nurse, you have the opportunity to obtain employer-sponsored further education to become a psychiatric nurse specialist, with additional salary increase upon completion of training.
As a new registered nurse, you are offered personalized orientation and mentorship by an experienced nurse for as long as needed. We offer present-focused leadership, and you will have support from your immediate supervisor who is easily accessible in the department.
About You
We are looking for you who are a licensed registered nurse. Experience in psychiatric care and/or a specialist nurse qualification is desirable, but we also encourage you without psychiatric experience to apply. With the right curiosity and a desire to do the best for patients, you will develop and learn alongside us!
