At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of our time's major societal issues – migration. In total, we are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job! The detention facility in Märsta consists of ten units and we are now seeking a unit manager. The facility houses people who have received a deportation or expulsion decision and who need to be available for enforcement. A person may also be held in detention if the right to stay in the country or their identity needs to be investigated. The facility is a closed unit and operations run 24/7. Operations must be conducted in a lawful, safe and dignified manner with the human being in focus. The detention operations are undergoing a change where some staff members will transition to a three-shift schedule. This will require the development of both working methods and adjustment of our organization.
