Are you an engaged and confident person who wants to create conditions for people to live an independent and meaningful life? Then you could be one of our two new support assistants at Krusenhofsvägen 25–29. Who are we? Krusenhofsvägen 25–29 is a group home within services for people with disabilities in Norrköping Municipality. Six people with varying disabilities and different support needs in their daily lives live here. The group home is located in a quiet area with proximity to both green spaces and a local center. We work from a person-centered approach where each individual's needs, wishes, and circumstances are in focus. We place great emphasis on a low-affect approach and actively work to create a safe, developmental, and meaningful daily life for the people living with us. An important part of our work is also to carry out daily activities and leisure activities that contribute to participation and improved quality of life. You will become part of an engaged work team where we support each other, share knowledge, and work closely with healthcare teams, relatives, guardians, and other partners to provide the best possible support to our users. Your responsibilities As a support assistant, you work days, evenings, and weekends providing individually adapted support based on each user's needs, wishes, and abilities. Your task is to create conditions for an independent life where the individual is given influence over their daily life and the opportunity to develop their own resources. You support users in daily tasks, social activities, and leisure interests and work motivationally to strengthen their participation and independence. You are also responsible for documentation according to applicable guidelines and actively contribute to developing the activities together with your colleagues. The work involves close collaboration with relatives, guardians, day activities, healthcare teams, and other internal and external partners. Together you work to create safe and quality care with the user's best interests in focus. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is trained as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or has other post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent and relevant for the position. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as documentation and communication are important parts of the work. It is a merit if you have experience working within LSS activities and knowledge of intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric disabilities, low-affect approaches, and AAC (alternative and augmentative communication). If you have previously worked with people with challenging behaviors, we also see that as positive. As a person, you are confident, responsible, and have a professional approach. You collaborate easily while being able to take own initiatives and make independent decisions when the situation requires it. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and have a good ability to create trusting relationships. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute with ideas, engagement, and a genuine interest in developing both the activities and the people you meet.
