Teacher in After-School Care with Focus on Art at Uttersberg School

Uttersberg School is located in Krokek, a larger community in Kolmården. We have approximately 350 children from preschool class through year 3 and we have approximately 53 employees and two school leaders at the school. Our after-school care is divided into three to four grade-based departments and we work for student learning and well-being based on our goals that we jointly develop for each new school year. After-school care is important to give our students the best foundation for their future and they have the opportunity to try, reconsider and consolidate their knowledge through experience-based learning. This fall, we will be participating in the School Board's Language Initiative in after-school care, which aims to strengthen students' language development, reading interest and reading ability to improve students' knowledge of the Swedish language. These units work very closely together as one school regarding prioritized goals, educational initiatives, support structures, pedagogical forums, subject meetings, and exchange between work teams. The school is led by a principal together with an assistant principal. In school year 25/26, approximately 90% of our ninth graders achieved upper secondary school eligibility. We are now seeking an engaged middle school teacher for a temporary position who wants to be part of developing our activities and contribute to our students' knowledge development and sense of security.
