As a lead teacher, you will be an important part of this work. You will have the opportunity to work with the school's other lead teachers and colleagues to drive pedagogical development, strengthen collegial learning, and contribute to teaching that is grounded in research and proven practice. Your responsibilities As a lead teacher, you will primarily be active in teaching. You will teach middle school students in your certified subject areas and also have a mentoring role. Beyond regular teaching duties, you will have special responsibility for contributing to the school's pedagogical development. You will help improve the quality of instruction, relational leadership, and the school's accessible learning environments. You will drive and participate in development initiatives based on the school's systematic quality work, with a focus on student learning and goal achievement. An important part of the role is to lead and develop collegial learning together with the school's other lead teachers. You will contribute to analyzing the connection between teaching methods, student learning, and school results, and translate knowledge and experience into pedagogical development work. You will inspire and support colleagues in developing their teaching and help spread good practices. As a lead teacher, you are expected to work based on research and proven practice and to be a pedagogical role model in the organization. You will have the opportunity to make a difference both in the classroom and in the school's development, and you will be an important part of strengthening the teaching profession and collegial learning. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with authorization to teach Swedish and mathematics as well as social studies and/or natural sciences for the relevant grade levels. To be appointed as a lead teacher, you must have teacher certification and be able to document at least four years of well-documented teaching experience within the school system. You also need to have demonstrated particularly strong ability to improve students' academic results and have a strong interest in developing teaching. You should also be particularly qualified for teaching and teaching-related tasks. We see that you have good IT proficiency and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You have a genuine interest in supporting and developing others and thrive in a role where you can share knowledge, give constructive feedback, and help colleagues develop in their professional roles. To succeed in this role, you need to be comfortable collaborating with others and good at creating and developing positive relationships. You communicate clearly and adapt your communication style to your audience and situation. You are responsive and ensure that information and messages get through. You are driven and persistent and take responsibility for moving work forward even when you face setbacks.
