Welcome to us The Elderly Services Administration has approximately 170 employees and consists of four departments: Stockholm Security Service, the department for citywide elderly care matters, the department for digitalization and IT, and the administrative department. We are responsible for matters including public administration, planning, follow-up, digitalization, healthcare, and training. The Processing Unit is part of the Stockholm Security Service department, which is a citywide 24-hour operation. The department consists of the units: Processing Unit, On-call Unit, Installation and Service, Alarm Reception, and Development and Support. Approximately 120 people work within the department. At the Processing Unit, 17 case managers and one coordinator work. The unit arranges placements for short-term care, manages waiting lists, and arranges placements in care and service facilities, as well as handles applications for security alarms within elderly care in Stockholm. Our workplace is activity-based and we are located in newly renovated premises in Älvsjö with good public transportation connections via commuter train and bus near Älvsjö station. We offer flexible working hours. Your role As a case manager, you work under delegation from all district administrations in the city. Your work involves contact with the elderly, relatives, all district administrations, all home care providers, care and service facilities, as well as other authorities, such as Region Stockholm. Waiting list management: Ensure that vacant apartments in care and service facilities are offered to those first on the waiting list, arrange placements for those needing urgent placement in care facilities. Arrange placements in short-term care facilities. Security alarm handling: Process applications for security alarms throughout the city for people aged 65 and older, administer provider changes and fees for security alarms. Your competence and experience We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, social work studies, or education that the employer considers equivalent where knowledge of the Social Services Act is part of the education. The role involves extensive written documentation and oral communication; you should therefore be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish. You are an experienced computer user and have experience working in various administrative systems. Since you will have many different cases ongoing simultaneously, it is essential that you are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently so that you meet set deadlines. Furthermore, it is important that you can create and maintain good relationships both externally and internally; collaboration is a requirement for the work to function.
