The Processing Unit is part of the Stockholm Security Service department, which is a citywide 24-hour operation. The department consists of the units: Processing Unit, On-call Unit, Installation and Service, Alarm Reception, and Development and Support. Approximately 120 people work within the department. At the Processing Unit, 17 case managers and one coordinator work. The unit arranges placements for short-term care, manages waiting lists, and arranges placements in care and service facilities, as well as handles applications for security alarms within elderly care in Stockholm.
