We are seeking a Frontend Developer for an exciting government assignment. Assignment Description The role involves developing and maintaining the next generation of digital travel experience. The government agency works with a microarchitecture in both frontend and backend in a cloud-based environment. They use React in a monorepo structure with their own component library based on a design system in Figma. The agency focuses their development on creating standalone tests and releasable components with high performance. Technically on the frontend side, they work with among others: ReactJS NextJS TypeScript Jest Cypress React Testing Library Headless CMS Develop according to WCAG As a public agency, they have requirements for accessibility. Therefore, experience in developing websites that are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, is important. The team has cross-functional expertise across all parts of delivery – from development and testing to operations and infrastructure. You will be part of an agile team of 13 people, working alongside a product owner, mobile developers (Android/iOS), backend developers, testers, a UX designer, and a team coach. The team is part of a larger capability area with roles such as solution architect, business specialist, IT specialist, and test lead – which provides good conditions for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Mandatory Requirements At least eight (8) years of documented work experience in systems development. At least four (4) years of total documented experience in ReactJS development. At least three (3) years of documented work experience developing with TypeScript. At least three (3) years of documented experience developing and maintaining automated tests for React-based web applications using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress. At least three (3) years of documented work experience developing web applications or websites according to WCAG. At least three (3) years of documented work experience developing and maintaining component libraries and design systems in close collaboration with UX designers. At least three (3) years of documented work experience in cross-functional development teams, including collaboration with developers, designers, and product owners. Candidates should be able to describe their role and responsibility in projects. At least one (1) year of experience developing public websites or web applications targeting external users. Meritorious At least three (3) years of experience working with implementing maps in web applications. At least two (2) years of documented work experience developing in a monorepo environment, for example with Nx, Turborepo, Lerna, or equivalent tools.
