We have about ten stages and a team of approximately 100 people working in stage, lighting, sound, and video. Can you tell us more about the tasks and responsibilities a sound technician on the Main Stage would have? As a sound technician on the Main Stage, you are a key player in the production team. Your work includes everything from developing sound and music elements to programming in Qlab, handling microphones, and managing orchestra mixing. You will also rig sound equipment and support the overall sound technical work for productions. Additionally, we are a team that works closely together, so you can expect to help with scene changes and support lighting and video functions when needed. What are the most important technical skills and knowledge you see as necessary for a sound technician on the Main Stage? To succeed in the role of sound technician on the Main Stage, it is important to have strong knowledge of Qlab and experience with network protocols such as Dante. Experience with Yamaha mixing consoles is a great advantage, and if you have previously worked with musicals or repertory theater, that is also a merit.
