Nursing Assistant
Department A4 is an acute somatic care unit. With us, you meet and care for patients who need both acute and planned postoperative care with a focus on upper and lower gastro-, thoracic, vascular, urology, ENT, and oncological surgery patients. The department has 18 care beds and, if needed, two overflow beds. With us you get variety in both pace and work tasks and have the opportunity to become both well-rounded and specialized in acute somatic healthcare. Your work tasks You work together with the nurse in your care team close to the patients, responsibly and evidence-based in accordance with our routines. Together you identify risks, assess, take action, and evaluate the patient's various care needs. Common work tasks with us are pre- and postoperative care and include, among other things, vital signs monitoring (NEWS), blood glucose checks, monitoring and follow-up of fluid and nutrition documentation, specimen collection, wound and stoma dressing changes, drain management, catheter placement and more. You support patients in their daily care, such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and ensure that they feel safe and well prepared for examinations and operations. You play a central role in creating a good care environment. You document your work in the TakeCare medical record system. You also contribute to the department functioning smoothly by restocking supplies, making beds, and serving meals. Who are you? We are looking for you with an approved nursing assistant education. Since nursing assistant is a protected title, you need to provide a certificate from Socialstyrelsen, or alternatively a service certificate that makes you covered by Socialstyrelsen's transitional provisions and allows you to use the title until June 30, 2033. It is a merit if you have experience from acute care or surgical care. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is important in your patient interactions and for collaboration in the department. Since teamwork is an important part of your work, you have a good ability to collaborate with others by being attentive and adapting to what the situation requires. You are an engaged and flexible person who, together with your colleagues, contributes to the development of the organization and creates a pleasant work environment. Nursing Assistant
Vårdcentralen Wisby Söder is one of Gotland's largest primary care centers with approximately 45 employees. Here we work in teams to ensure person-centered and patient-safe care for all our patients. At the primary care center, nursing assistants, doctors, nurses/district nurses, and counselors work together. We also have close collaboration with primary care physiotherapists and occupational therapists. We are located in the Korpen area and Vårdcentralen Wisby Söder is one of two primary care centers in the same building. We are now seeking a nursing assistant for a temporary position from 2027-02-01 to 2028-02-01 as we have nursing assistants on educational and leave of absence. Your duties As a nursing assistant with us, you will work in patient care activities ranging from blood draws to wound dressing changes, catheter replacements, EKG, and more. You are an important part of our operations and you work closely with your doctor colleagues and nursing colleagues. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. It is advantageous if you have experience from primary care or inpatient care. At a primary care center you will meet everyone from children to the elderly and you need to be able to adapt to each patient you encounter. We would like you to be flexible, have good experience with blood draws, and work well with others. Nursing Assistant
The Health and Medical Care Administration's psychiatry department consists of psychiatric inpatient care, adult psychiatric outpatient care, addiction treatment, and child and adolescent psychiatry. The department has approximately 160 employees in total. The department's mission is to provide psychiatric specialist care to adults and to provide care for mental health issues to all children and adolescents up to and including 18 years of age. The unit has 18 care beds.
