The Health and Medical Care Administration's psychiatry department consists of psychiatric inpatient care, adult psychiatric outpatient care, addiction treatment, and child and adolescent psychiatry. The department has approximately 160 employees in total.
The department's mission is to provide psychiatric specialist care to adults and to provide care for mental health issues to all children and adolescents up to and including 18 years of age. The unit has 18 care beds.
We who work on the unit are a competent and positive work team with experienced care assistants and nurses of varying ages, professional experience, and cultural backgrounds. Together we work for good and safe patient care and a good work environment. Great focus is placed on involving patients in their care. We are committed to promoting a humanistic value base and creating a good care environment for our patients.
Your Tasks
The work consists of patient conversations, participating in and initiating activities with patients, performing nursing care measures, documentation in the TakeCare medical records system, and customary practical tasks on a psychiatric care unit. Work within psychiatry is constantly evolving and we strive continuously for modern and innovative approaches. Therefore, participation in the department's quality and development work is a given for our employees.
Who Are You?
We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant with a specialization in psychiatry. It is meritorious to have training in conversation methods and DBT as well as knowledge of working with children and their families.
We would like to see that you have previous experience working in psychiatric services.
As a person, we believe you are engaged, responsible, thorough, flexible, and empathetic. In interactions with patients, relatives, and colleagues, you are attentive and respectful. We are looking for you who have good collaboration and communication skills and can handle people in difficult situations and acute cases. We place great importance on your personal suitability where professional and personal interaction is essential.
