Housing Adaptation Case Officer, Building Permits
The City Development Administration within Umeå Municipality consists of Building Permits, Detailed Planning, Land Surveying, Environment and Public Health, and a support staff unit. The Administration has approximately 200 employees. The City Development Administration's mission is to plan and develop the municipality and create conditions for Umeå's sustainable growth. The results of our operations should provide maximum value for Umeå's residents and business community. Housing adaptation is part of the Building Permits division. We are a small team that works together on processing housing adaptation applications. Housing adaptation grants are municipal subsidies that individuals with permanent functional impairments can apply for under the Housing Adaptation Grant Act. Your Tasks As a case officer, you will independently process incoming applications, investigate and assess requested measures, evaluate certificates, and make decisions on grants for individuals in accordance with the Act (2018:222) on Housing Adaptation Grants. This primarily involves exercising public authority. The work includes both office work and visits to individuals' homes. You document continuously throughout the case process. In your work, you will have many contacts, both internal and external. External contacts may include applicants, relatives, caregivers, property owners, contractors, and others involved with housing adaptation. As a case officer, you also serve as a consultant to those providing certificates and provide advisory services on matters related to the business, for example to applicants and their relatives. Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. The Vascular Surgery Section is part of the university healthcare unit Surgery Center in Umeå and provides local and regional highly specialized care for Region Västerbotten and the Northern Healthcare Region. Here we work across the full spectrum of vascular surgery, with both open and endovascular surgery. We manage diseases of the aorta, extracranial and cervical vessels, visceral and peripheral vessels, and varicose veins. DUTIES As a nurse with a unit manager assignment with us, you contribute to creating security and helping colleagues feel good. On the Orthopedic inpatient ward you will have the opportunity to work across a range of orthopedic care, from patients with planned admissions to emergency care with trauma care and advanced spinal surgery. With us, the unit manager will have an important and obvious role in the unit with overall responsibility for patient flow and maintaining structure throughout the work day in close collaboration with managers and other staff. The unit manager participates in the introduction of new staff on the inpatient ward and is also available to the care team when they need task support. As a unit manager, you are an important cog in the operation and work closely with the care team, receptionist, and the ward's managers. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as an engaged colleague who contributes with knowledge and enthusiasm, who feels responsibility for the patient's well-being and the continued development of the operation. You are a licensed nurse with experience and an interest in orthopedics and emergency care. You can manage multiple tasks in parallel and see it as a challenge to work at a varying pace.
