The work is conducted within various research projects (currently, for example, the "Destination Earth" project "DEODE"), in collaboration with both work groups within SMHI and other international partners. In the role, you will also contribute to developing so-called storyline-based approaches, methods for ML-supported detection of extreme events, and further development of statistical risk-based methods. In the long term, you will help develop applications of climate models that strengthen SMHI's climate services, with special focus on extreme events, as well as contribute to the continued development of the climate model HCLIM. Job Description We offer you a specialist training position as a future physician specializing in anesthesia and intensive care. Evening and night on-call duties are included in the work tasks. The training position begins with a 9-month fixed-term contract, which, if extended, counts toward a permanent specialist training position. The content and length of the training are planned based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations, the physician's specialist training, and in consultation with the supervisor, study director, and department manager. On-call work is included both during the fixed-term contract and during an ST employment, as on-call work is both a frequent occurrence and a central part of our work as anesthesiologists. About You We seek you as a licensed physician with completed and approved foundation training (BT) or clinical training (AT). As a person, you are calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations and have the ability to focus on the right things. You are responsive, flexible, and work well with other people. You are also professional and have a strong ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in the Swedish language.
