In the AI4PEX project, we have compiled extensive data to test such models, as well as a set of methods for this evaluation. The employee will conduct analyses in which simulation results from an international ensemble of demographic vegetation models are compared with this data. In the OBSGESSION project, we use the demographic vegetation model LPJ-GUESS to investigate how disturbances, particularly bark beetle attacks, affect Europe's forests. The employee will conduct simulations with LPJ-GUESS and analyze the results. In both projects, the employee will also prepare reports, written documentation, and archive code related to the work, as well as contribute to authoring a peer-reviewed scientific article in the field.
