Workplace Description The Department of Experimental Medical Science is tasked with conducting research at the molecular, cellular, and integrative levels concerning the life processes that determine the body's function, in health and disease. The Department currently consists of six sections with approximately 60 research groups and approximately 350 employees. The Department aims to deliver research of the highest international standard, serve as a base for comprehensive research between clinical and pre-clinical settings, and be a stimulating educational environment for future researchers and educators. The Department wishes to promote collaborations with clinical research groups and strives to teach various undergraduate programs at the highest professional level. Tasks and Areas of Responsibility This is a fixed-term employment for the role of leading parts of the DataCatalyst Öresund project, led by Lund University. The work involves assisting the responsible director and project manager Kajsa M Paulsson with crucial aspects of its execution, governance, and strategic work. The work includes collaborating with the director and others in the management group to assist in: Contributing to coordinating the project and part of the management group (which is responsible for the project's daily operations, coordination, finances, communication, and administration) Being responsible for overseeing horizontal criteria and cross-border synergies Contributing to the project's overall goal achievement Contributing to efficient meetings and dialogues in the joint steering committee (JSC) Being responsible for internal and external communication, including with companies participating in the innovation process Working to engage companies in the DataCatalyst innovation process and following up on and supporting work in the granted innovation processes Qualifications We are seeking a person with experience in Interreg projects, strong knowledge and experience in communication (text, graphics, website content management, video materials, etc., newsletters, social media), planning and organizing events such as workshops, conferences, and similar activities, and who collaborates well and thrives in a complex environment with partners from different sectors. The position requires documented experience with Interreg projects. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, experience, and ability to collaborate. Requirements for employment: Higher education within a relevant field Good knowledge of English (at least EF level B2) Documented experience in communication (at least 10 years) Documented experience with various Interreg projects (at least 2 years) Meritorious for employment: Previous experience with one or more of the following areas of responsibility: Coordination of international partnerships Collaboration between academia and industry Coordination and communication within international networks Work with strategies for collaboration between research infrastructure, including policy and utilization Overall responsibility for monitoring and goal achievement in Interreg projects Experience in connecting the academic sector and industry Consideration will also be given to how the applicant, through their experience, competence, and personal suitability, is assessed to complement and strengthen ongoing activities within the research infrastructure projects and the ecosystem for biomedical innovation, and how they can contribute to the development of the ÖKS region. Other Information The employment is a fixed-term position at 100 percent for seven months. Desired start date is September 1, 2026, or by agreement.
