The City Administration is one of nine departments and is led by our Assistant City Directors. To carry out our mission, we are organized into six different divisions. Our department has an important and exciting mission where we are here for others - for colleagues, other departments, the city's companies, Helsingborg residents, and businesses, to name a few. The City Administration shall - lead, develop, and coordinate the municipality's operations within overarching and common areas, - offer services and products requested by the municipal executive board, departments, and companies, including common functions that are directly aimed at Helsingborg residents, - in cooperation with external parties create conditions for positive development of Helsingborg. Work Tasks We are seeking a qualified and development-focused management strategist who can function as strategic and operational support to the City Administration's two Assistant City Directors. In the role, you have significant personal responsibility to independently coordinate, prepare, and follow up on matters and cases – both within the department and in collaboration with the city's other operations and companies. You work close to leadership and contribute to ensuring high quality in decision-making materials and efficient preparation and follow-up of cases. You create structure, progress, and overview in complex matters and contribute to ensuring that management's work is implemented efficiently and with good quality. The assignment includes: Functioning as qualified management support in a complex and dynamic environment Investigating and analyzing strategic issues and clarifying complex matters Preparing decision-making materials, memos, and presentations Planning, coordinating, and following up on activities before, during, and after meetings Contributing to structure, planning, and follow-up in management work Ensuring that processes are coordinated and drive the organization forward Collaborating with key personnel in the organization and with various support and staff functions Qualifications We are seeking you who have: Relevant academic education, for example in political science, economics, HR, law, or equivalent Experience with qualified investigation, staff, or management support Very good ability to analyze complex issues and produce well-founded decision-making materials High ability to structure, plan, and independently coordinate work Very good communication skills in both speech and writing Experience working in a municipal or other politically governed organization It is meritorious if you have: Experience working close to leadership or political level Previous management or leadership experience As a person, we would like to see that you have strong analytical skills and can navigate complex structures, while also having the ability to translate analyses into concrete and clear proposals. You are structured, solution-oriented, and have a strategic holistic perspective without losing sight of important details. Furthermore, you are initiative-taking and proactive, with the ability to work independently and drive matters forward – even without formal personnel responsibility. We also see that you have a good understanding of the political and organizational context in which the work takes place. You have a strength in summarizing, clarifying, and creating structure in complex issues as well as digital maturity and an interest in how development affects work implementation. Your way of working is characterized by the approach with documented ability that I want to succeed – I create value – I collaborate – I lead myself.
