We have undergone an exciting organizational change with a focus on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority, services and support, and housing. The entire Social Services Administration is currently implementing a comprehensive initiative on Signs of Safety and creating a common approach throughout the organization with a clear focus on transparency, high participation, and creating sustainable solutions together with the individual and their network. In the Reception and Preventive Support unit, you will lead a team focused on adults, the Crime Team, and the social emergency service. You will be supported by two team leaders in day-to-day operational management. You will lead the unit together with a colleague who is responsible for children and domestic violence, who in turn has their own operational team leaders. As a unit manager, you are part of the Authority's management group together with eight other unit manager colleagues and your operations manager. To support you in your daily work, there are specifically directed support functions from HR, Finance, and Quality. Work tasks As a manager in Helsingborg City, you have full management responsibility, which means you are responsible for operations, finances, and personnel within your area of responsibility. Your management responsibility includes having knowledge of, carrying, and conveying the city's vision and governing documents. Your assignment is both strategic and operational, and you have a Team Leader in your team who supports you in operational matters and will be the employees' closest leader. You will be managed by the operations manager and you are part of the Authority's management group where you participate in quality and development work throughout the entire operational area. You will conduct knowledge-based, systematic, and creative development work, build contacts, and collaborate internally and externally. In accordance with your assignment, you shall: shape and develop the unit in accordance with existing and emerging needs lead, plan, and monitor work within the unit be responsible for the daily operations within your unit, be available to employees and help them grow, want, and dare provide each work group with the conditions and support to develop as a team What we offer We offer you varied, responsible, and stimulating work with opportunities for personal development. Qualifications To be eligible for the position, it is a requirement that you have: A degree in social work and experience being a manager with full management responsibility, i.e., budget, personnel, and operational responsibility. You have experience with authority work and are well acquainted with interpreting and practicing adequate legislation, as well as experience practicing evidence-based methods. It is meritorious if you have previous experience managing work within reception services. We place great emphasis on leadership; you should be able to naturally lead both yourself and others. You should be driven, structured, and have the ability to create engagement and drive quality development. Driver's license category B is a requirement.
