It houses individuals suspected of crimes while awaiting investigation. Currently, we have approximately 250 staff members distributed across several professional groups and competencies. Substitute Care Worker - Elderly Care Services Schedule Position

Work is conducted within elderly care, home services, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care. 6 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a substitute within Ystad Municipality, you will work according to the Social Services Act by supporting our service users in their daily lives with tasks such as: • Cleaning • Personal hygiene • Preparing breakfast, serving lunch, and snacks • Social companionship, such as going for walks, organizing activities, and in some cases walking pets • Accompanying users to the hairdresser and health center • Assisting with medication management A job in elderly care is a varied and developmental position where you meet many interesting people. Your main task is to create good conditions for others to have a good quality of life. A fantastic job where you have the opportunity to develop qualities such as creativity, flexibility, courage, empathy, and teamwork skills. You will work either in home care, providing care in users' own homes, or in special residences, where users live in apartments in the same building with shared social spaces. Certain home care teams require a driver's license and the ability to cycle. Working hours are scheduled either during daytime, evening, or mixed shifts, plus every other weekend. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you to work as a substitute and be available for scheduled shifts during the autumn, with the possibility of extension. We place great importance on your personal suitability and would like to see that you: • are flexible • are responsive • are social • want to help people live their best lives • treat your surroundings with respect • can collaborate with others Requirements: • As you will have daily contact with service users and need to document information, you must have strong Swedish language skills, both written and oral (requirement is that you are approved in basic Swedish at the level of primary school grade 9 or SFI D). • For home care, you need to be able to cycle, and for certain teams, a driver's license is required. • Work in home care and special residences may involve working alone, threatening and violent situations, heavy lifting, and medication handling. According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on minors' work environment (AFS 2023:2 chap. 8), such work is not permitted for minors. Anyone hired must therefore be 18 years of age or older. • You need to be able to handle physically demanding work with lots of movement where heavy lifting may occur. • You will work according to basic hygiene procedures, wearing short-sleeved shirts, and be able to work with both men and women. Selections are made on an ongoing basis, so do not delay submitting your application. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 11 days - 3 months, start date: 2026-09-29 or as soon as possible. Working time: Scheduled shifts - daytime, evening, or mixed shifts, plus every other weekend.
