The Best Side Gig in Trelleborg - Earn Money Where the Party Is!
The best side gig in town - earn money where the party is 🍒 "A year ago I barely knew what blackjack was. Now I'm working at Cherry's coolest venues, running the tables and making more than many of my friends." – Linn, 21 years old What's it really like to work as a blackjack dealer? Linn, one of our team members, shares: What the job actually involves: You stand at the blackjack table, deal the cards, keep an eye on the game and make sure everyone's having a good time. You set the vibe. One night you might have a table full of girls on a bachelorette party, the next night a company at their holiday party, and then a great group out after work. You're the face of it all – warm, clear, professional. And no, you don't need to know anything about cards or games. All that's required is that you're social, calm under pressure and actually enjoy meeting people. Everything else you'll learn in Cherry's free in-house training. Why this job? I've tried most things like cashier, serving, telemarketing. This is the first side gig that actually feels like more than just hours for money. Why you should choose Cherry: No two nights are the same, so you won't get bored. You get paid to be social and present in a fun environment, not to hide behind a screen. Every shift is an adventure discovering new people, so you become really good at reading people, chatting and keeping control of the situation (without even thinking about it). You quickly realize you're a big part of the vibe and without you it's not quite the same flow. You build experience that makes you great at all service jobs (and honestly, life in general). It's a flexible job you can combine with studies or other commitments. About Cherry: Cherry Spelglädje has existed since 1963 and is Sweden's largest operator of land-based commercial gaming, holding over 80% of the market. We're about 600 people spread across 40 districts throughout the country. On the floor, Cherry feels like a great team where community is strong and many find lifelong friends. Who we think fits: We're looking for someone who contributes to a good atmosphere at the tables, creates a safe gaming environment and makes guests feel welcome. You notice quickly when the right person is there. You're a social person who enjoys the pace and doesn't get stressed when things move fast. You think evenings and weekends are prime time. The practical stuff: Scope: minimum 4 weekend evenings/month, around 20 hours – more if you want Times: evenings and nights, mainly Fridays and Saturdays Salary: from 161 kr/h + OB, commission, vacation pay, pension-qualifying Collective agreement via HRF, affiliated with Visita. Age limit: 18 years old This is one of the few jobs where who you are as a person actually matters, not what's on your CV. Send your application right away and I hope to see you soon! Social Advisor, First Point of Contact for Social Services and Care
In Trelleborg, we work together for a growing successful municipality where life is good. Our 61 villages and 21 neighborhoods are creative meeting places that buzz with life. Here we want things, talk about them, and show up as we are. This is why we welcome others in the same generous and curious way. Welcome to join us on this journey! The Social Services Department's mission is to work with social services and provide support so that everyone in the municipality feels secure and has equal opportunities in life. We want everyone to be able to be active and participate in society. With a focus on respect for individuals' right to determine their own lives, we are responsible for three important areas: care and elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and help for individuals and families. Our goal is that everyone should receive the support and care they need. Since everything Trelleborg Municipality does is based on our core values of openness, respect, and responsibility, it is important and crucial that these values are as natural to you as they are to us in our work. The Workplace Do you want to help develop Trelleborg Municipality's accessible entry point to the Social Services Department's support and services as well as care? We are now seeking a social advisor, where you will be an important first point of contact for residents, relatives, and others seeking information, guidance, and support. The workplace, Kompassen, is centrally located in Trelleborg, a 5-minute walk from the train and bus station. With us, you work in an operation focused on accessibility, service, and preventive measures. You meet people with different needs and life situations, provide guidance, and help them find the right support at the right time. The role involves close collaboration with the Social Services Department's various operations and other parts of the municipality, which requires a holistic perspective, good collaboration skills, and professional conduct. We offer varied and meaningful work where every day you contribute to making it easier for residents to get the right help and support. Together, we develop working methods, service, and cooperation to create a modern, accessible, and preventive social service. Welcome to become part of our work to make the Social Services Department more accessible to Trelleborg's residents. Duties As a social advisor at Kompassen, you are an important part of the Social Services Department's "One Point of Entry". You receive and professionally treat residents, relatives, and others seeking information, guidance, or support within social services or care. The role involves creating security and helping people find the right support at the right time. Based on the individual's situation, you guide them to possible measures within the Social Services Department's services. You meet people through personal visits, phone, email, and digital contact channels. The work includes both providing basic social advice directly as well as determining when the help a resident wants requires an application. You can both give advice and support directly as well as practically help people use the municipality's e-services and contact channels to register interest in relevant support measures. The role requires that you can see the whole picture of an individual's situation while having good knowledge of the Social Services Department's various operations and measures. You work closely with colleagues within social services, care, and elderly care, and collaborate with other actors to create an accessible and service-oriented entry point to the municipality's support measures. Qualifications We are looking for you who have higher education or other post-secondary education that the employer considers relevant, for example in social work, care and elderly care, behavioral science, public administration, or other education related to the job's field of work. You have professional experience from social services, care and elderly care, municipal healthcare, disability support, or other operations where you have met people with different needs for support and help. You have the ability to meet people based on a low-affective approach and good conversation methodology. You have good knowledge of social services' various responsibilities for different target groups and the ability to distinguish between when measures can be provided without prior needs assessment or when a measure needs to be provided as assistance. It is meritorious if you have training in conversation methodology and/or low-affective approach. We are looking for you who have good ability to communicate in Swedish in speech and writing and feel comfortable using digital tools and navigating different systems and information sources.
