The Social Services Department's mission is to work with social services and provide support so that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has the same opportunities in life. The Workplace Within the Functional Support Department there are group homes, service housing, service activities, day activities, children's and youth housing, and short-term and leisure activities conducted in accordance with the Disability Act (LSS) and relevant authority decisions for the individual user. The department also includes social psychiatry activities conducted according to the Social Services Act (SoL). Our workplaces are located both in Trelleborg city and urban areas, and some activities are in the municipality's villages and countryside. The residence's target group is category 1 under the LSS, which includes people with intellectual disabilities, autism or autism-like conditions. Furthermore, this means that individuals have disabilities in combination with other diagnoses. We work from a user-oriented perspective where users are provided support and services based on individual needs. The goal is to enable independence, self-determination and participation to the greatest extent possible, based on each user's abilities. The group home and workplace are located just outside Trelleborg's urban area. The easiest way to get to and from work is by bicycle or car. Job Responsibilities As a Support Assistant, you are a key person in supporting and guiding users from a pedagogical and practical perspective in their daily lives, including care/hygiene, activities, cooking and skills training. All with the aim that users should achieve increased independence. Based on the users' implementation plans, you work to establish, implement and follow up on the goals of the implementation plans and realize the highest possible quality and participation in daily life. Based on good and clear communication and good conduct, your task is to create calm and security for users regardless of the situation. Furthermore, you are a support and create conditions for good contact with family, healthcare and other important contacts for the individual. Within the internal organization, you primarily collaborate with other support assistants, support pedagogues and management to continuously develop the activities and achieve set goals. Qualifications For the role of Support Assistant, we are looking for someone who has: Secondary school or vocational diploma from a care and welfare program, children's and leisure program or other equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent At least one year of work experience in functional support/LSS: care and welfare and/or in school settings where you have worked with people with autism, psychiatric conditions or challenging behavior and/or explicit pedagogy. Good computer skills and documentation experience Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, as you will need to document in journals and other important documentation in your work. At least a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle Good physical ability, as the work includes activities with users We place great emphasis on personal suitability, beyond the basic requirements.
