The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) - Psychological Defence Unit (MPF) protects the open and democratic society and freedom of opinion by identifying, analyzing, and countering improper information influence and other misleading information directed at Sweden or Swedish interests. The Agency was established on January 1, 2022, and has offices in Solna and Karlstad. There are five departments: the Director General's Staff, the Operations Department, the Capability Development Department, the Administrative Department, and the Communications Department. In the Capability Development Department, we work to develop and strengthen society's collective capacity for psychological defence. This includes providing support to the public, authorities, regions, municipalities, media, voluntary defense organizations, and civil society in general, as well as promoting increased coordination between these actors. Important tasks also include responsibility for education, exercises, and knowledge development, which includes commissioning, monitoring, and disseminating research in psychological defence. We are now offering an internship position in the Capability Development Unit in Karlstad. Internship As an intern with us, you will participate in daily work to strengthen society's collective resilience and capacity within Sweden's psychological defence.
