Guardianship Case Handler

Your responsibilities The Guardianship Unit currently consists of 13 dedicated employees who work with guardianship matters for Halmstad, Hylte, Laholm, and Båstad municipalities. We exercise supervision over and provide good service in all representative positions, that is, guardians', administrators', and good men's assignments. Our mission is to ensure that people who cannot protect their own rights get their needs met by a representative and that our representatives have the right conditions to carry out their assignments. Our target group includes both minors and elderly people, sick individuals, and people with disabilities. Our assignment also includes recruitment and training of volunteer good men and administrators. At the Guardianship Office, we work on investigating the need for good men and administrators and on exercising supervision over good men and administrators, including by reviewing the execution of assignments. A large part of our supervision is conducted through review of financial management, which includes examination of financial statements and documentation. These reports must be reviewed within specific timeframes, which means that the operation periodically has high workload. Right now we are in a development phase where our operation will undergo several changes due to changed legislation and changes in our assignment. To implement these changes, we need to strengthen our staffing for a period to handle our core assignment. What we are looking for right now is someone who has an interest in working with supervision and case handling. You also need to have an interest in financial review and accounting. The work involves many contacts with both people in need of support from society, relatives of people needing help, and other authorities.
