The administration's finance department is a vital part of this mission, analyzing, planning, and monitoring resources. The finance department works with budgets, accounting, monitoring, and reporting with annual accounts. Part of the work includes responsibility for the municipality's financial assistance and the combined offering of upper secondary and adult education. We are now looking for a driven economist who will primarily work with adult education.

Your responsibilities
In the role of economist, you will work both close to operations and independently, as well as on certain issues and processes at a more administration-wide level. You are the operations' financial partner in financial matters and you prepare decision-making materials and provide support in decision processes.
With us, you work independently to maintain control over the overall finances of the operations you work with. Here you have freedom with responsibility and are expected to contribute to efficient financial processes and the finance function as a whole through your participatory and responsible approach.
Your responsibilities will include:
budgets
monitoring with reporting and annual account forecasts
statistics and key figures
analyses and investigations.
You will be part of the finance department providing general support to the administration and a smaller team specialized in adult education.
Your qualifications
For this position, you must have:
a degree in economics or other education that the employer considers equivalent
3-5 years of experience in financial work
experience working with financial systems, preferably Unit4
very good Excel skills
interest in system solutions in general and good knowledge of MS Office
the ability to see the big picture and analyze complex information
good Swedish in both speaking and writing.
It is particularly beneficial if you have:
good experience and understanding of other systems and their structure, preferably database management
experience working in a larger organization, preferably in a municipal operation
experience from labor market or adult education activities.
Personal competencies
In the role of economist, collaboration is central, as you work close to operations as a financial partner and together with managers and colleagues prepare budgets, forecasts, and decision-making materials. Through transparent communication, you convey financial information, analyses, and monitoring in a clear and understandable manner. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, where you independently analyze deviations, produce statistics, and conduct investigations that contribute to efficient financial processes. To succeed in this, you need to work in a planned and structured manner, have a good overview of the operations' finances, and ensure order, quality, and foresight in budgets, monitoring, forecasts, and annual accounts.
