Your responsibilities
As a special education teacher/specialist teacher, you are an important part of creating an accessible and inclusive learning environment where students are given the best possible conditions to develop and reach their goals.
You work closely with teaching staff and strengthen instruction by providing pedagogical support in the classroom. Together you plan and implement instruction and adaptations that meet students' diverse needs and circumstances.
Your role also includes implementing parts of the support measures offered to students and following up on how the support functions in practice. You serve as an important link between teaching staff and the school's central support organization and help ensure that the right interventions are put in place at the right time.
You become part of a work team where collaboration, knowledge exchange, and shared responsibility for student development are natural parts of everyday work. Together you create a safe, structured, and motivating school environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Your qualifications
We're looking for someone who is at least a certified primary school teacher and has education as a special education teacher or specialist teacher. You have a strong interest in creating accessible learning environments and see the value in working closely with both students and colleagues.
To succeed in the role, we believe you have experience providing pedagogical support to upper secondary students and feel comfortable collaborating with teaching staff on adaptations and support measures.
Requirements
Certification as a primary school teacher.
Education as a special education teacher or specialist teacher.
Meritorious
Experience with support instruction in upper secondary school.
Experience teaching in the Introductory Program.
Experience teaching in adapted upper secondary education.

If you are offered employment in upper secondary and adapted upper secondary schools at the Education and Labor Market Administration, you will need to provide an extract from the Police's criminal record register for work in schools or preschools. The extract is free to order but can take 2–3 weeks for the Police to process. We therefore recommend that you order the extract well in advance.
Before employment, you must demonstrate that you have the right to work, as required by the Immigration Ordinance. You do this by proving your citizenship within the EU/EEA or Switzerland with a passport, national ID card, or certificate of residence together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you must provide a work permit or show that you are exempt from the work permit requirement.
The position is filled subject to required decisions being made.
