You'll become part of an operations area responsible for the municipality's health and social care and work closely with nurses, care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and fellow managers. You'll be part of a management team with ten unit managers and work especially closely with a colleague with a corresponding assignment. Together you'll develop the operations to meet future needs within municipal health and social care!
Your responsibilities
As a unit manager, you'll have personnel, budget, work environment, and operational responsibility for approximately 25 nurses working in assisted living facilities in Halmstad Municipality. Your employees' workplaces are in our assisted living facilities, making present-day leadership particularly important. A central part of the assignment is therefore to find working methods that create participation, community, and clear direction even when employees aren't gathered in the same place. You need to feel comfortable being mobile in your leadership, meeting employees at different locations, and being present both in planned forums and in everyday matters.
In the role, you'll work closely with fellow managers within the operations area, managers at assisted living facilities, trade union representatives, and external actors such as health centers and hospitals. An important part of the assignment is also to contribute to good collaboration in care transitions and to work with good and close care, where needs within municipal health and social care change and become more complex. The role contains both strategic and operational elements, and you need to be able to switch between long-term development, joint planning, and practical problem-solving in everyday life.
Your qualifications
To succeed in the assignment, you need to be a confident and clear leader who can combine a strategic perspective with operational capability. You see possibilities in change, identify solutions, and contribute to collaboration between facilities, professions, and fellow managers. You take responsibility, provide direction, and are clear with expectations, while having an inclusive and attentive leadership style. In your leadership, you're coaching, relationship-building, and unpretentious, with the ability to both drive matters forward and collaborate in a strong management community. You enjoy a varied day-to-day where you need to prioritize, coordinate, and follow up, and where you contribute to a culture characterized by respect, humility, and trust.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, health and social care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
At least two years of experience working as a manager within care and social services or health and social care.
Class B driver's license.
Merits:

Other information
The selection process begins when the announcement period has ended. If you meet the requirements, you'll take tests, followed by a phone assessment, competency-based interview, and finally a candidate meeting with trade union collaboration. We always take references from final candidates.
Competency interviews are scheduled for week 36 on-site, followed by a candidate meeting with trade union collaboration in week 37.
