At Snöstorpsskolan, you will have a central role in school leadership where you, together with the principal, drive development initiatives, create favorable conditions for learning, and contribute to a safe and well-organized operation. Your responsibilities As assistant principal, you work closely with the principal in school leadership and are responsible for operations, personnel, and development matters within your assigned areas. You lead and develop the operation based on the curriculum, governing documents, and organizational goals, and are responsible for planning, organizing, and following up on work within your area of responsibility. Your duties include supervising and supporting staff, conducting employee conversations, addressing workplace environment matters, and creating favorable conditions for collaboration, participation, and professional development. You also work with planning, staffing, and scheduling, lead meetings, and contribute to developing procedures and work methods. You actively participate in the school's student well-being work, handle student matters, and collaborate with guardians and other organizations to create the best possible conditions for student development. An important part of your role is leading and following up on systematic quality work and contributing to the school's long-term development initiatives together with the principal. Through your work, you contribute to the goal of a safe, well-organized, and equitable operation where students are given favorable conditions to develop to their full potential. You also contribute to a sustainable organization by creating structure, following up on operations, and driving development together with school staff. Your qualifications Requirements: Teacher's degree. Pedagogical insight through education and experience. Solid knowledge of school governing documents. Strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Meritorious: Experience working as a principal or assistant principal. Experience from a leadership position in school, for example as a lead teacher, workgroup leader, or through leading development processes. Experience from after-school care, primary grades, or intermediate grades. Completed or ongoing state principal training. National Board of Education recruitment training for future principals or Tomorrow's Leaders program. Strong ability to communicate and write in English. We are looking for someone who thrives in close proximity to operations and has the ability to create structure and direction in daily work. You build trust through clear communication and by creating understanding of goals, priorities, and expectations. You have good judgment even when the pace is high and can handle complex situations with calm and a focus on solutions. At the same time, you are accessible and responsive in your leadership, value collaboration, and contribute to a positive work environment where people feel seen and included.
