On the Vascular Ward, care flows are often rapid and average length of stay is typically between two and seven days. The most common surgical conditions are carotid stenosis, aortic aneurysm, and claudication/critical ischemia, which are treated with endovascular methods, open surgery, or conservative treatment. Within vascular medical care, the most common diagnoses are pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, and severe hypertension.
