We are now looking for you to work as a speech-language pathologist at our Rehabilitation Clinic, Neurology Unit. This position is a parental leave substitute for approximately one year. The Rehabilitation Clinic is a specialist facility for people over 18 years old in need of rehabilitation following somatic illness or injury. With a focus on quality of life and a holistic approach, we offer individually tailored interventions. The Neurology Unit's most common diagnostic groups are stroke, brain injury, multitrauma, or limb amputation. Our strength is that we work in interprofessional teams, where you and the patient participate in the team alongside other professionals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a speech-language pathologist with us, you work with diagnosing and treating language, voice, and speech disorders, prescribing assistive devices, assessing and treating eating and swallowing difficulties, and providing information and guidance to relatives and staff. In your work, you will meet adults with brain injuries or neurological conditions. We are also in an exciting development phase where we recently started a pilot project within SPRIH (specialized rehabilitation at home). Through SPRIH, patients have the opportunity to receive qualified rehabilitation services in their home environment, which creates good conditions for training and recovery in everyday life. The work is carried out in an engaged interprofessional team where different expertise collaborate to provide the patient with the best possible rehabilitation. Even though SPRIH has a dedicated team, there may sometimes be a need to support the operation, which means travel is part of the position. Therefore, a valid driver's license is required. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed speech-language pathologist, preferably with experience working with patients with neurological diagnoses. You have good patient interaction, collaborate well in teams, and always focus on what is best for the patient. We value that you are creative, analytical, and solution-oriented. You see connections in complex situations, adapt quickly, and contribute new ideas to develop care. We place great importance on personal suitability.
