Björken is a small school unit with adapted learning environments, small student groups, and high staff-to-student ratios. Our students have the opportunity to learn in the way that suits them best, and instruction is planned based on the students involved. With us, educators have a health-promoting perspective with a focus on what works well and what makes the individual feel good during the school day. Here, group instruction is offered, but students have the opportunity to complete schoolwork and demonstrate their subject knowledge in individual ways. Educators use a shared lesson structure and helpful strategic support to clarify lessons and expectations. Students receive clear, defined tasks with short sub-goals, and learning is made visible through continuous feedback. The educators' focus is to create good relationships between teacher and student, and through low-affect interaction, a safe, calm, and positive learning environment is created that reduces stress and challenging behavior. School staff maintain regular contact with guardians and strive to have close and good cooperation with the home to facilitate the student's schooling. We are now looking for a substitute social pedagogue! Your tasks As a social pedagogue, you support students' academic and social development by being a present and trustworthy adult in both the classroom and the school's social environments. Through relationship-building work, individual support, and collaboration with school staff, you contribute to an inclusive, safe, and developmentally supportive school environment where students are given the conditions to succeed both academically and socially. About you We are looking for someone with good self-awareness and who is confident in yourself. You have experience working independently and taking your own initiatives. A large part of the role involves collaboration and contact between different parties, which requires that you are communicative, trustworthy, and have good teamwork abilities. You will meet people in different situations and with different conditions, which requires good empathetic ability and that you are attentive. Creating good relationships is a prerequisite for the work, which is why we place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements Educated social pedagogue, social worker, or other pedagogical education Experience working with children in need of extensive special support Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing Valid criminal record check Merits Experience working in primary school Pets are present in the workplace (school dog approximately 1-3 hours per week), so you should not be allergic.
